Shark Tank Project

Image
For this project we had to create 2 website for another group in our class based on the the idea they have in store. Also the topic we had were a community service website that would reward students for their time with school material. In addition, for the website we used github which helped us with coordination and teamwork because it gave everyone  equal workload so that nobody is doing too much or too little. Furthermore, github made it organized since when you make changes on a certain files you can comment and let yourself or others know what you've done so that they can take over.                  In the website we used html, css, and jQuery. We had parallaxes, tabs, datepicker, a footer with copyright text. The name of the group we create the website were called Community Service Scholars (CSS) and they were really impressed. they were present with another website fro...

Lab 15

Image
In this lab we had to create a real time clock and and keynotes that would play audio and show a working clock. To start you have to create multiple div tags for each part of the lab. Such as a div with the id hour-hand, sec-hand and min-hand. In the css you would customize the properties of div by adding a length, height, color and origin from where it's going to rotate from. In addition, javascript is needed so that the your can add function for the time and give them variables so that certain actions take place when something happens. An example would be to give the hands a way rotate in a certain way and cause an effect when it rotates 360 degrees.                  For the keynotes we used the tags audio and we set a data-key so that it's targets a certain object. We also had to download Mp3 files so that on click the audio would be heard. In addition we used CSS for the audio...

Podcast Project

Image
In this Project we had to listens to several podcasts and then create a website based on the topic of the podcast. My topic was about Mars and what are the possibilities we as humans have on living on Mars. The Podcasts were very descriptive and gave a lot of information on the topic. The reason I chose this topic was because I was very intrigued about the topic and the podcast really helped me in having a interest in this. Furthermore, I like learning about science especially when it come to space because I find it fascinating. After learn about the Podcast we had to also create a game relating to the topic of my choice "Mars". In addition, the website has to include stories relating to the podcast up to 6. This project was very fun and hard at the same time but it helped me develop my skills in time management since it's something I've struggled in the past.

Trip to Cornell Tech

Image
In late 2018 the Web design class went on a field trip to Cornell Tech to do a presentation for our projects we've done to prepare for this about 2 week prior. This was a very unique experience because we had the chance to present our work to the rest of the class and other people. Also we had to give a good presentation as we were being graded as well by our teacher on how good we communicated our work to the audience. In addition, the presentation involved 4 people which was the group you had throughout the project.                 Furthermore, this experience helped us better as speakers and improved our communication skill which is essential if you're ever in an interview or with a different group of people. A bonus we had on the trip is the view of Manhattan which is an amazing scene and the pleasure to be in such a beautiful location as Cornell.
